Description: The Arctic is home to a large and diverse group of seabird species, many of which are shared with nations encircling the pole.

Geographic Extent: Waterbird Conservation for the Americas addresses the U.S. and Canadian portions of the Arctic, a region of waterways, ice, low coastal plains, tundra and glaciated mountains.

BCRs: Arctic Plains and Mountains (BCR 3).

Bird Habitat Joint Ventures: none

Political Units: Alaska (U.S.) and northern reaches of Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Quebec (Canada).
